I-75 travelers thank good samaritan

My wife and I are from Spartanburg County, S.C.

We were recently traveling South on I-75 Saturday, Aug. 30 when our camper developed wheel bearing problems and we had no idea it was happening. Smoke was pouring out from under the camper and I did not see it.

A man from your area traveling in the same direction signaled us to pull over. When we pulled over, he did the same and showed me the problem.

He could have left it at that, but he insisted on leading us to a truck repair shop where we could get some help. He led us 10 miles on I-75 doing 35 mph. When we arrived at Q Fix Truck Service, he went in to make sure they could help us. Once he was sure that we were in the right place, he left.

The guys at Q Fix were great and made my wife and I feel like we were the most important customers they had. The one thing that I regret is that I didn’t get the name of the good samaritan in a mid-size bright yellow car that took time to help two strangers get the help they needed.
