The Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London and Trooper Island Inc. announce the 2013 Trooper Island Raffle to help raise funding for the Trooper Island Children’s Camp.

This year’s raffle item is a 2013 Red Chevrolet Camaro 1SS Coupe that features a 6.2 Liter V8 engine, six-speed automatic transmission, black interior with bucket seats, 20-inch aluminum wheels, remote start, Boston Acoustics nine-speaker audio system, rear vision camera system and more.

To purchase a ticket, you can stop by the Kentucky State Police Post in London or by contacting any Kentucky State Police Trooper.

Tickets are $10 each, and the drawing for the winning ticket will be held Sunday, Aug. 25, at 3 p.m. at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville.

All proceeds go to Trooper Island, Inc., a summer camp for children, which is located on Dale Hollow Lake in Clinton County. Trooper Island is a free summer camp for underprivileged boys and girls age 10-12. It is financed entirely by donations. No public funds are used. Each year the camp hosts approximately 700 children, providing food, fresh air, recreation, guidance and structured, esteem-building activities designed to build good citizenship and positive relationships with law enforcement officers.
