Laurel Co. resident vies for the title of Miss Kentucky, Corbin, KY

Hillary Nicole Lewis, the reigning Miss East Kentucky, is the 22-year-old daughter of Gary and Linda Lewis, of Keavy. Hillary is a senior at the University of Kentucky where she is pursuing a degree in business administration and marketing. Serving a personal platform titled ‘Live. Love. Local. — The Importance of Community Investment,’ Hillary educates the public on the importance of supporting American small business and entrepreneurship. She serves as the executive director of sales and marketing for FOLK Magazine, volunteers her time as director of the Miss Laurel County Homecoming Pageant, and owns her own small business, Happenings by Hillary.

During the Miss Kentucky pageant, Hillary will be judged on her devotion to the four points of the Miss America crown: Scholarship, Service, Style and Success. She will be competing in interview, talent, swimsuit, evening gown and on-stage question categories.

The 2012 Miss Kentucky pageant will be July 12-14 at Singletary Center for the Arts on the campus of the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting
