Times-Tribune Staff Report
Promising “An Evening of Fun and Entertainment,” humorist, comedian and storyteller Howard Floss will join multi-award winning singer and songwriter Dale Pyatt on stage in Corbin on Saturday, May 17.
They’ll perform at 7 p.m., at the Betty Hamilton Center for Performing Arts at Corbin High School. The event is sponsored by the Bell-Knox-Whitley Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy. (Bell-Knox-Whitley KY-ASAP)
Dale Pyatt will be the opening act for the show. A Missouri native specializing in Country, Gospel and Bluegrass songs, Pyatt has written many hits, including songs “Life Goes On” and “Run Secretariat Run.”
He’ll be followed by Howard Floss, who’s also a public speaker and author. He co-authored
with Dr. Joel Patton the book, Breaking the Anger Circle, which Floss said has helped people take a fresh look at an old problem with Biblical direction.
A retired educator, farmer and rancher, Floss is known by many for his work with the Celebrate Recovery Program at Eagle Heights Church in Somerset.
In addition to his stage performance, Floss’ book Pass the Biscuits and Salt the Beans will be available for purchase, as will CD’s and signed books.
Admission to the show is $15, and refreshments will be available.
