Special to the Times-Tribune
Lion’s Chase is an outdoor adventure obstacle course race that will test your resilience, strength, stamina, quick decision making skills, ability to laugh in the face of adversity and heart. If you have tried trail races, mud runs or a warrior dash, it’s time to see if you truly have the heart of a lion. The goal is simple... to get you off the couch, throw you in the mud and trails, and feed you one tough endurance event that will be the adrenaline rush of your life.
Lion’s Chase is an experience that will make you feel alive and powerful. Lion’s Chase gives you a reason to get in shape and a badge of honor to share with your friends.
Lion’s Chase is a faith-based organization that partners with local organizations to raise funds for worthy causes. The upcoming Lion’s Chase in Corbin will donate proceeds to fund a mission trip to Haiti for the Central Baptist Church Student Ministry. Entry fees will go to send 16 students and eight adults to Haiti in April 2013 to share the gospel with children through Vacation Bible Schools and help with much needed building reconstruction.
Lion’s Chase will take place on Nov. 10, at 11220 Cumberland Falls Highway between Corbin and Williamsburg. This location will provide a beautiful and challenging course.
Over the course of 3.1 miles you will encounter walls to climb, creeks to jump and tunnels to crawl through. Every participant will receive a custom Lion’s Chase T-shirt, a bag full of coupons and giveaways, a digital chip used to time your race and all who finish will receive a custom finisher medal and the heart of a lion.
The cost to participate is $55 until Oct. 31. The cost after Oct. 31 will be $75. The minimum age to participate is 14.
