CORBIN — Times-Tribune Staff Report

Tickets are on sale for TobyMac’s “Hits Deep Tour,” which will come to the Corbin Arena at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

The concert will feature special guests Brandon Heath, Mandisa, Jamie Grace, Colton Dixon and Chris August and will introduce Capital Kings.

Six-time Grammy winner and multi-platinum selling artist TobyMac is reprising his “Hits Deep Tour” with a 20-city run that begins Thursday, Nov. 7, in West Virginia and runs through Sunday, Dec. 15, in Indianapolis, according to Carol M. Anderson, tour publicist for CMA Media Promotions.

This year’s tour features a slightly changed lineup of artists and will include some of TobyMac’s most popular songs and Christian music artists.

“This tour is going to be exactly what most people want to see when they go to a concert – a show where you know every song,” TobyMac said. “Big hits that hit deep! Not just hits because they are sonically a good listen, but because they’ve spoken deeply to our souls. These artists are all headliners in their own right, but we’ve come together to serve up the hits that have become a part of people’s lives.”

The tour’s announcement comes just after TobyMac was named “Artist of the Year” at the recent K-LOVE Fan Awards, which were held in front of a sold-out audience at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and heard live on air on the K-LOVE radio network. In less than a year, TobyMac has won his sixth Grammy, was recognized at the Billboard Music Awards as Top Christian Artist and Album, garnered his first American Music Award for Favorite Artist in the Contemporary/Inspirational category, was named iTunes’ Best Christian Gospel Album of the Year and Amazon’s Christian Artist of 2012.

Tickets cost $30 for premium reserved seats, $25 for reserved seats, $35 for VIP tickets. Ticket prices increase $5 the day of the show. Group rates are available.

Tickets can be purchased from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays at the Corbin Arena or through Ticketmaster by calling 800-745-3000 or visiting ticketmaster.com.
