Event offers Kentucky crafts just in time for holidays

CORBIN — By LeeAnn Cain / Staff Writer

Holiday shoppers got a start on their gift-giving choices Friday in London.

The “Sights and Sounds of Christmas” craft fair opened Friday at the London Community Center from noon until 7 p.m.

The fair featured only handmade crafts from various sellers in Kentucky. These wares included wooden birdhouses, bowls, and toys; a large variety of homemade soaps; crocheted hats and other warm trinkets; Christmas decorations; amusing zoological folk art; bright and colorful jewelry; and a variety of homemade edible treats, to name a few of the items available.

All items sold at the craft fair had to be handmade.

The fair continues from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
