The musical entertainment for this year’s NIBROC has been finalized with the signing of two country singers set to perform Thursday, Aug. 9, according to Bruce Carpenter, executive director for the Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
T. Graham Brown will headline the Thursday night performance. According to his website, his career has included several hit country songs and 12 Top Ten hits. His 1998 single, “Water Into Wine,” made the Christian Country Music Chart.
Carpenter said Brown was the first entertainment he signed when Corbin’s festival first started offering musical entertainment.
Candy Coburn, a singer-songwriter known for her high-energy country performances, will open for Brown.
According to Coburn’s website, her releases include “Pink Warrior” and “REV IT UP,” a release that contains three singles.
Brown and Coburn join a lineup that includes the classic rock band Styx, which will perform Friday.
On Saturday, Aug. 11, the original lead singer and drummer for the Motown group Rare Earth, Peter Rivera, will join Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, who had several hits in the 1980s, on the NIBROC Festival stage.
The 60th Annual NIBROC Festival will be held Aug. 9-11 on Corbin’s Main Street.
