The Whitley County Fair will be full of family fun, according to Whitley County 4-H Extension Agent David Perry. With farm and home exhibits, a mule pull, horse show, antique tractor display and much more, there will be lots to see and do at this year’s fair.
Farm and Home exhibits will include food and food preservation, a handicraft division, an arts and crafts division, a crops and horticulture division, as well as one for honey.
“It’s a great opportunity for Whitley County residents to show off their skills and talents in food, garden and crafts,” Perry said, inviting the public to come see the free Home and Garden exhibits at the Goldbug Extension office.
“Not only will it be a chance for the public to come and see what the local people are growing, but the farmer’s market will be going on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at the back of the pavilion, so they will have a chance to buy local goods as well,” Perry said.
There will be a $5 gate fee for the 3R Arena, with children under 6 getting in free.
Farm and Home exhibits at the Goldbug Extension office and the Antique Tractor Show are free on Friday night.
To reach the fairgrounds and the 3R Arena, take exit 15 off I-75, turn south on US 25W and follow the signs.
