Schneider to premiere film, hold Q&A in Corbin

Organizers have cancelled Friday’s London screening of John Schneider’s “Collier & Co. 2” and will instead hold two screenings Saturday at Corbin’s Tri-County Cineplex. 

Schneider, actor, director, writer and philanthropist — but the man best known for playing Bo Duke in “The Dukes of Hazzard” TV series — starred in and directed the film about a retired race car driver who gets into trouble when he starts acquiring and reselling exotic cars. 

The film will be screened in select cities this fall. Saturday’s screening benefits the American Red Cross. 

Schneider will also be appearing at this year’s World Chicken Festival today and Saturday in London as part of a benefit to raise money for the American Red Cross Southeastern Kentucky Chapter, which provides disaster relief and other services to those in Knox, Whitley, Laurel, Bell and Clay counties. 

He will be signing autographs and giving photography sessions in exchange for donations to the Red Cross. 

The screenings will be at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday. Advance tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the cineplex. After each screening, Schneider will hold exclusive question and answer sessions with autographs and merchandise. 

This will be the first time Schneider will do a Q&A session for the film.
