If you think the hamburger you grill is a prizewinner, then plan to visit Cumberland Falls State Resort Park on April 12.
The park will host the “Grill Master Ultimate Burger Contest” that day to see who cooks the winning burger. This contest is open to individuals, civic groups, and youth groups.
The cook-off will be at the falls from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All participants will need to bring grill (charcoal or gas), hamburger and secret ingredients. Check in and set-up is 11-11:30 a.m. Meet the judges and review the rules at 11:30. Judging starts at 1 p.m.
Use this opportunity to showcase your group and their cooking skills. There will be special entertainment and a sale at the gift shop. No registration fee. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded. The park will have the rights to the winning recipe that may be featured in our Riverview Restaurant. Please email or call Cumberland Falls State Resort Park 800-325-0063 and ask for Steve Gilbert (steve.gilbert@ky.gov). Registration deadline is April 7.
