Eagle to join Pow-Wow

Kicking Eagle, a nationally-acclaimed author and motivational speaker, will help kick off the 1st annual benefit Pow Wow for the Kentucky Native American Heritage Museum Aug. 29-31 in Corbin.
Eagle has been the guest speaker at churches, schools, colleges, pow-wows, town-hall meetings and special events across the country. He is a former peace officer and member of the Texas Narcotic Officers Association & International Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association.
Kicking Eagle has addressed audiences worldwide via appearances on hundreds of radio and television programs including Talk America and Worldwide Christian Radio, WCBC in New York and KCOP in Kansas City, MO. He currently hosts his own show, EAGLETALK, every Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. on WIGN 1550 AM out of Bristol, Va.
He addresses issues concerning children, parents, educators and peace officers. He speaks about common sense, patriotism, traditional values, gangs, drugs, alcoholism, school shootings, bullying, suicides and bomb threats. He urges families to stand together for God.
He has spoken for law-enforcement agencies, prisons, Texas War on Drugs, Special Olympics, Air National Guard, abused women and children, private and corporate seminars, and civic organizations nationwide.
Kicking Eagle has launched a new 2008-09 season tour, “IT’S YOUR SCHOOL!” to help rid our schools of all the negativity they encounter each school year. He wants the students to realize it is their school and it is time to stand up for what is right for their community and for their country.
Kicking Eagle was appointed Lifetime Ambassador of United Northern Native Americans, Inc. He was also appointed ambassador by the United Eastern Lenape Nation; the Red Hawk American Indian Cultural Society; and by the Ouachita Confederacy. The Beaver Creek (Leni Lenape) Tribe of Kentucky then appointed him as their ambassador. Eagle received the Key-to-the-City at Monticello, Ky. and at Youngstown, Ohio.
Following the release of his first book, “The Legend Begins,” the author completed “I Know I can!” and “Billy Banjo.” Two of the books in his newest trilogy-series “Pow-Wow!” and “Pow-Wow Justice!” have been released. The final book in the trilogy, “Pow-Wow Summit!” will be hitting the press soon. Eagle has come to be known as the “Ambassador of the People.” His message? Let’s Restore America!
