A 4.3 magnitude earthquake was felt across Eastern Kentucky Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey and the National Weather Service office at Jackson.
The epicenter of the weak earthquake, which occurred at 12:18 p.m., was eight miles west of Whitesburg.
The quake caused only minor damage, with most preliminary reports saying items fell off shelves. No structural damage had been reported shortly after the quake.
