Painkillers, juvenile found in  hotel room

A London man was arrested Saturday after deputies found him in a hotel room with a juvenile, drug paraphernalia and painkillers, according to Laurel County Sheriff John Root.

James Davis, 67, was arrested at a southern Laurel County hotel about 4:25 a.m. after deputies Brett Reeves and Kirk Mays responded to a complaint that an unusual number of people were coming and going from his room.

Deputies found a 17-year-old boy and drug paraphernalia. They also learned Davis had received 150 oxycodone pills on Thursday and only had 22 left, as well as 50 Xanax pills, though only three remained.

Davis said he is a patient at a Tennessee pain clinic.
