Whitley Co. Grand Jury hands down multiple indictments

The Whitley County Grand Jury handed down around three dozen indictments on Monday.

Most of them related to drug and theft charges, as well as one child abuse charge.

Jason E. Brandenberg, 36, of Williamsburg, first-degree criminal abuse by intentionally abusing a child under the age of 12 on or about March 7, by “administering cruel punishment by striking the minor child from his back down to his buttocks, causing physical injury,” according to court documents.

David Goodin, 32, of Williamsburg, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree persistent offender.

Michael Perkins, 32, of Williamsburg, manufacturing of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana under eight ounces.

Emogene Gardner, 31, of Williamsburg, manufacturing of meth and receiving stolen property.

Andrea Robertson, 27, of Williamsburg, fraudulent use of a debit card over $500.

Steven Petrey, 49, of London, first-degree possession of a controlled substance for unlawfully possessing meth and third-degree possession of a controlled substance for possessing Xanax.

Nathan Bates, 34, three counts of receiving stolen property over $500, but less than $10,000.

Foster Crabtree, 67, of Strunk, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first-degree persistent felony offender.

Navaughn Gilroy, 24, of Ohio, theft by unlawful taking over $500, but less than $10,000 and second-degree persistent felony offender.

Tiffany Davis, 24, of Ohio, theft by unlawful taking over $500, but less than $10,000.

Jesse Terry, 37, of Williamsburg, theft by unlawful taking over $500, but less than $10,000 and first-degree persistent felony offender.

Wallace Reeves, 67, of Michigan, theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 by taking a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a 1984 El Camino.

Michael Perkins, 32, of Williamsburg, receiving stolen property.

Joshua Albert Jones, 25, of Barbourville, first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument by knowingly possessing a forged United States Treasury check in the amount of $279.34.

Michael Holt, 37, of Williamsburg, receiving stolen property.

Raymond Murray, 31, of Williamsburg, receiving stolen property.

Lakin Ayers, 20, of Williamsburg, first-degree promoting contraband by bringing Suboxone strips, Oxycodone, Xanax bars and three cans of smokeless tobacco into the Whitley County Detention Center.

Cindy Clark, 43, of Science Hill, theft by unlawful taking over $500, but less than $10,000 by taking $600 belonging to the Whitley County Detention Center and receiving stolen property.

Jeffery Cox, 41, of Williamsburg, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Mathew Watson, 21, of Williamsburg, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Eddie Ray Phillips, 35, receiving stolen property.

Ryan P. Mason, 20, of Williamsburg, first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Donald Hollis, 34, of Tenn., theft by failure to make required disposition of property over $500, but less than $10,000.

April Rowe, 28, of Corbin, theft by unlawful taking over $500 but less than $10,000 by taking storm grates that belonged to the Kentucky Department of Transportation.

Kenneth Rowe, 27, of Corbin, theft by unlawful taking over $500, but less than $10,000 by taking storm grates that belonged to the Kentucky Department of Transportation.

Kenneth W. Floyd, 51, of Kansas, theft by failure to make required disposition of property over $500 but less than $10,000.

Willie Dean Cox, 39, of Corbin, second-degree burglary and receiving stolen property.

John C. Jones, 37, of London, manufacturing meth and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Jessica D. Sumner, 23, of Corbin, manufacturing meth and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Jason E. Davis, 29, of Lily, manufacturing meth and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

William D. Rose, 27, of Williamsburg, third-degree assault.

Jordan Gambrall, 24, of Williamsburg, theft by unlawful taking over $500, but less than $10,000.

Geri Gambrall, 23, of Williamsburg, theft by unlawful taking over $500, but less than $10,000.

William R. Mayes Jr., 23, of Corbin, first-degree possession of a controlled substance for possessing a morphine tablet.

Travis Gentry, 32, Whitley County Detention Center, second-degree escape when he was granted furlough on April 25 and failed to report back to the detention center.

An indictment is a formal charge by a grand jury and is not a conviction or an admission of guilt.
