London woman arrested on drug charges
Laurel Sheriff Cpl. Derrick Price on Friday arrested Amanda Gayle Hooker, 27, of London.
The arrest was made at the Laurel County Judicial Center at about 11 a.m.
The arrest was on a Jackson County warrant charging her with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance.
Three arrested endangerment and drug charges
The day, before, Thursday, London City Police responded to a call at the Baymont Inn Motel after a report that small children were left alone in the parking lot.
There was no adult supervision, said Chief Stewart Walker.
Three adults were arrested and taken to the Laurel County Corrections Center.
Billie S. Eversole, 24, of London, was charged with second-degree wanton endangerment and first- and second-degree possession of a controlled substance.
Bobbie Rutledge Jr., 45, of London, was charged with receiving stolen property over $10,000, trafficking in methamphetamine, and first-and second degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
And Avery L. Chadwick, Laurenceville, Ga., first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in meth and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
The investigation was conducted by Detectives Jimmy Phelps and Allen Harris.
Assisting Walker were Capt. Derek House, Sgt. Doug Thomas and officer Mike Holiday.
Apartment burglary leads to arrest
Also on Thursday officers responded to Scott Street Apartments to investigate a burglary.
When the officers arrived they spoke to the tenant who was nearby at the home of Felicia Fuston.
The witness reported that Justin Fuston was not supposed to be in the apartment but had entered through a locked closed window and was still inside.
The officers located Justin Fuston in an upstairs room.
Investigation indicated that Justin Fuston had broken a security latch on the window through which he entered.
Justin Fuston was taken into custody charged with third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal trespass and a violation of the Kentucky Emergency Protection Order and the Domestic Violence Order.
